One of our most significant tasks in these Latter Days, if you ask me, is not to become Evil in the process of opposing it. With my sarcastic tongue, I have to watch myself very closely. Clever name-calling and obscenities is not the same as pointing out and articulating Evil acts by people. Especially within the guise of being Christian.
“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by people.”
“And because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will become cold. But the one who endures to the end is the one who will be saved.”
“Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.”
“And the tongue is a fire, the very world of unrighteousness; the tongue is set among our body’s parts as that which defiles the whole body and sets on fire the course of our life, and is set on fire by hell.”
How can we do this yet not appearing to give silent consent to Evil ways but take a stand without emulating the evil we hate?
